No reason why Rangers cannot overturn deficit against Union Saint-Gilloise – Kenny Miller
Kenny Miller believes that there is “no reason” why Rangers cannot overturn the two-goal deficit in the second-leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Union SG.
The Gers were lacklustre in the first leg a week earlier in Belgium where they were the second-best and conceded a two-goal advantage.
Miller, in a column for BBC Sport, stated that Rangers have overcome deficits before and there is no reason why they will not able to do it now.

“With the greatest of respect to Union, Rangers were 1-0 down against Sporting Braga, 1-0 down against RB Leipzig – a Champions League team – and overturned it,” he said.
“There’s no reason why they can’t get it back. Within that Leipzig game, it should have been 3-0 within 25 minutes and game over.”
Optimism
The first leg of the tie was nothing less than a horror show for the Rangers as they were rather lucky to just concede two goals.
Many would point out that performance was largely due to the absence of star players like striker Alfredo Morelos and winger Ryan Kent, both of whom missed the match due to injuries.

However, on a positive note for the Gers, both players have been declared fit and the fans will be hoping to see a much better show this time around as well.
It is also going to be a test for manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst who had a brilliant start to his time at the Ibrox Stadium ever since replacing Steven Gerrard who ended up joining Aston Villa.
But a bad result on Tuesday might overshadow all his achievements in the second half of the last season and therefore, he will be hoping that his players will be able to turn the deficit around and secure a much-needed win.
In other Rangers news, one BBC pundit could not emphasise enough how important developments at the weekend for one player were in relation to the European game.
