Ally McCoist backs Ryan Kent to produce magic for Rangers against Union Saint-Gilloise
Ally McCoist believes that Ryan Kent is one player who could prove to be the difference for Rangers in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Union SG.
The Gers suffered a 2-0 defeat in the first encounter last week in Belgium with the return leg set to be played tonight at Ibrox (August 9).
McCoist, while speaking on talkSPORT, as quoted by Daily Record, expressed optimism about seeing the former Liverpool man producing his best display for the team.

“We’ve got to play a lot better,” he said. “It’s a real boost that Ryan Kent could play, he’s back in the squad, back training, he’s key for Rangers.
“I think, [Kent] still continues to be key for Rangers, he’s the one player, certainly in the Rangers team, who has something a little bit different, in a one vs one situation, he can drop his shoulder and go by somebody, once he goes by people things can open up, and hopefully that’s the case tonight.”
Star man
Kent has been a real star performer for the Rangers and his return to the team will definitely going to be a big boost for the players as well as for manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The 25-year-old missed the previous fixture after failing to recover completely from an injury but he has been declared fit to play tonight (August 9).
The fans will be hoping that the Oldham-born will shine for the side and take them to the next phase of the Champions League qualifiers.

Kent has been a Rangers player since the summer of 2019 when he moved from Premier League giants Liverpool in a deal worth £6.5 million.
Since then, the star winger has represented his current club in 175 matches across all competitions where he has managed to score 30 goals and provided 49 assists.
In the previous campaign, Kent was simply outstanding in the final third where he provided 20 assists and scored three times in 46 matches across all competitions [Transfermarkt].
In other Rangers news, one BBC pundit could not emphasise enough how important developments at the weekend for one player were in relation to the European game.
