Rabbi Matondo completes Rangers medical in Manchester, wages now agreed

Rangers have agreed personal terms with Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo, according to Patrick Berger.

The SPORT 1 journalist has reported that the Welsh international had already completed his medical in Manchester, and will now become an Ibrox star.

It is shared that only paperwork is needing to be finalised before the transfer can be officially announced between the two clubs this week.

Writing on his official Twitter account, Berger shared the news that the Bears just had the paperwork to finish before announcing the deal.

“Agreement reached,” he wrote. “Rabbi Matondo joins Glasgow Rangers.

“The Welsh winger completed medicals in Manchester and agreed on personal terms with the Scottish side. Only paperwork needs to be done. Official announcement soon.”

This is the news that everyone has been waiting to hear.

Matondo flying into Manchester to get his medical done must have been the smoothest transition, and with his personal terms also agreed, it shouldn’t take long.

Rangers and Schalke both appear happy, and will just need to sign off on this one to get it across the line in the coming days, if not hours looking at this.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be delighted to get everything sorted so quickly, with his squad really starting to come together now, especially in the final third.

Just a new playmaker appears last on the list to bring in, and then we can call this last fortnight a huge success, we can’t believe how well it has gone.

The new season is approaching, and it is time for teams to be fearful of the mighty Gers, especially with Matondo set to be flying down the wing.

In other Rangers news, the Bears are set to have funds released for major new transfer activity with one exit now done
