Rangers must sign Angelo Fulgini this summer to bolster midfield ahead UCL qualifiers

Angers SCO midfielder Angelo Fulgini could be heading to Rangers this summer, according to France Football journalist Nabil Djellit.

The Gers have been in the market to sign players to strengthen the attacking front ahead of the next campaign and for this purpose, they are said to have tabled an offer for the midfielder.

As per the report, the Ligue 1 outfit will be ready to let the French U21 international, who has less than 12 months left on his current deal, for a fee in the region of £5.9 million.

Fulgini is an acrobatic midfielder who is known to cover every blade of grass and also be influential on the ball.

He has the tendency to play multiple roles in midfield. Despite being known as an attacking midfielder, the France U21 international can also play as a deep-lying playmaker.

Rangers had a lot of problems in the midfield last summer where Ianis Hagi’s injury took out the entire creativity from the middle of the part.

As the Gers gear up for Champions League third-round qualifiers on July 18, they need to sort out the problems within their squad so that they can have a realistic chance of playing in the best club competition on the planet.

Therefore, by all means, the management must do all they can to ensure that the Abidjan-born will be a Rangers player, sooner than later.

In the previous campaign, Fulgini represented his current club in 36 matches in the Ligue 1 where he scored five times and provided four assists in the process [Transfermarkt].
