Rangers must go all out to sign wonderkid Oscar Gloukh

Rangers are interested in making a move for Maccabi Tel Aviv wonderkid Oscar Gloukh in the ongoing transfer window, according to the Daily Record.

The Gers have been in the market to sign players who can strengthen the overall squad ahead of the next campaign.

The reports stated that Rangers scouted the youngster during Israel under-19’s 2-1 win against France in Slovakia during the youth European Championship.

It is believed that Maccabi Tel Aviv have put a price tag of £8million on the 18-year-old playmaker.

In the 2021-22 season, their attack was completely disjointed at times and much of that was down to the injury of their creative spark Ianis Hagi.

Aaron Ramsey was in the squad to play a similar role but he was largely disappointing during his loan spell.

Therefore, it is important that the Rangers must do all they can to ensure a signing of a player like Gloukh over the line because he would be the bridge that connects their attack and the defensive side of things.

In the recently concluded Israeli league, the midfielder made eight appearances and scored three goals [Transfermarkt].

Not only he will make life easy for the likes of Alfredo Morelos if the Colombian decides to stay at the club but he will also act as a cover for someone like Hagi who will return after a lengthy injury layoff.

In other Rangers news, the Gers have told this midfield player he’s free to leave Ibrox permanently.
