Antonio Colak basically packs bags ahead of major Rangers transfer, demands deal done
PAOK striker Antonio Colak has demanded that a move to Rangers is finalised as soon as possible, according to Jonny McFarlane.
The reliable source for Rangers Review has reported that the Croatian was left wowed by the Ibrox atmosphere when lining up for Malmo at the start of the 2021-22 season.
Colak is said to have his bags essentially packed already as he gets set to make the move to Glasgow with the fee and personal terms already agreed between the two clubs.
Writing in his latest column for the Rangers Review, McFarlane shared the latest on a deal which looks set to be sorted imminently despite all of the confusion elsewhere.
“Colak has essentially packed his bags to come to Rangers and is keen to move to Scotland having been wowed by the Ibrox atmosphere when turning out for Malmo,” he wrote.
“He sees the transfer as a positive step for his career and has requested it be finalised as soon as possible.”
This is the news we have all been waiting for.
With big doubts surrounding the future of Alfredo Morelos, a new striker had to be made the single new priority for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson.
What makes this one even better is that Colak appears desperate for the move, and that is exactly the type of player we want pulling on that blue shirt every single week.
The Croatian is going to be such a handful for any defence, and the sooner he jets into Glasgow to get started, the better, with pre-season now well and truly underway.
With those Champions League qualifiers creeping up quickly, the 28-year-old is someone with experience of succeeding in those tough rounds, and that will be critical for this squad.
It looks as though there isn’t much left to iron out before this one is done, bring it on.
