Rangers chiefs could be forced into Alfredo Morelos sale with £20m bid mooted

Rangers chiefs could be forced into selling Alfredo Morelos this summer as the transfer window starts to go into overdrive, according to Glasgow World.

The online outlet has reported that a £20million blockbuster bid could be demanded with yet another summer of speculation set to swirl around the Colombian.

Sevilla and many Premier League clubs have been mentioned as potential destinations with Morelos set to go into the final year of his contract at Ibrox.

This is set to be another summer of wild transfer talk.

Things have changed this year though, with Ross Wilson and the Bears not having that protection of a long-term contract behind Morelos, who has made it clear he would leave to explore other options previously.

With the likes of Aston Villa and Steven Gerrard also being mentioned, it is no surprise that an exit is highly likely as things stand, rather than a new contract.

Stick or Twist.

That is the decision facing Giovanni van Bronckhorst right now.

One thing that hasn’t been accounted for is just how good Morelos became once Gerrard left, and Van Bronckhorst arrived with Roy Makaay as his right-hand man.

The Dutchman is one of the best strikers of the modern era, and his coaching clearly helped the Bufalo return to the top form that he had lost over the beginning of the season.

£20million is a huge offer, and it is one that is far too good to turn down, especially with only one year remaining on the current contract of Morelos, who is still recovering from his latest injury.

The same thing applies to the likes of Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo, something that means that big bids could also force the board at Ibrox to consider their futures too.

It could be a big summer of change in Glasgow, with some big money set to be thrown around.

In other Rangers news, this multi-million bid for one Bears player may have been made to unsettle him at Ibrox
