Joe Aribo sends brilliant message amid Rangers exit fears

Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo has posted a brilliant message on Twitter after he ended the season playing 70 games for both club and country.

Aribo has been linked with a move away from Ibrox this summer, with Aston Villa being one of the clubs vying for his signature [The Sun, 14 May].

The Nigerian midfielder has thanked the fans for their continued support, before adding that he is already looking for the season ahead.

Aribo tweeted: “Grateful to have played 70 games this season, I just wanna thank God for getting me through it.

“A season full of ups and downs but unforgettable memories were created. Can’t wait to get going next season thank you to all the fans for your continued support.”

Big decision

Aribo has only a year left on his current deal, and the Gers need to make a big call on his future.

He is a top talent and showed his class last season. The 25-year-old played in multiple positions but he was most effective operating behind the striker.

The dynamic midfielder saw a blip in form during the middle of the season, but he returned to his best towards the end as the Gers ended the season on a high.

rangers

Rangers finished up as runners-up in the Europa League final and won the Scottish Cup as well.

Having already secured deals for Connor Goldson and Scott Arfield, the Gers now look to offer new contracts to players who are either in their final year or have only a couple of years left in their deal.

At the same time, Aribo is a bankable asset. The Bears can expect to command a high transfer fee for him if he decides to move on.

In other Rangers news, a replacement for a club stalwart is ready and waiting to be signed if they can sort out a bid.
