Alfredo Morelos stalled Rangers contract negotiations could negatively impact Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent Ibrox futures
Alfredo Morelos’ stalled contract talks with Rangers could have negative implications for future negotiations with Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent.
It was revealed by The Chronicle on Tuesday 14 June, that talks Colombian striker have stalled as the 25-year-old enters the final year of his Ibrox contract.
With Aribo and Kent also out of contract in the summer of 2023, they need to be convinced that staying at Ibrox is the best option for their future careers and chances of success.

With news that influential striker Morelos has come to an impasse with Rangers, Kent and Aribo may be inclined to follow the 25-year-old out of Ibrox and onto pastures new.
If the striker committed his future to Rangers then there is every chance that Rangers’ other out-of-contract stars would follow suit.
What is crucial is that Giovanni van Bronckhorst addresses their contract situations as soon as possible in order to give himself as much time to potentially replace the trio.
Rangers cannot afford to lose any of them for free next summer, so it would not be a shock to see all three of them move on in the summer window.

They’ve been great servants for the Gers over previous seasons and Aribo and Kent in particular were influential in the Gers’ run to the Europa League final.
Sadly, the money that is available in the Premier League will likely trump any deal that they can be offered at Ibrox.
As reported by The Athletic on 8 June, Crystal Palace remain interested in bringing Aribo back to South London and Kent is attracted interest from Leeds United, as per 90min [6 May].
In other Rangers news, a replacement for a club stalwart is ready and waiting to be signed if they can sort out a bid.
