Rangers in behind-the-scenes contract talks with Alfredo Morelos
Rangers are reportedly still in discussions with Alfredo Morelos over possibly extending his Ibrox stay despite links away from the club.
According to Rangers Review, despite their interest in Sunderland striker Ross Stewart, they still want the Colombian to stay put at the club.
Talks with Morelos will continue in silence and “behind the scenes” as Gers do not like their transfer business discussed in public and have maintained a tight policy in terms of leaks.

He stays?
The Colombian seems to be linked with the exit door in every transfer window but somehow manages to stay put at the club.
This term around, we’re not seeing any direct links to clubs in the Champions League which should be seen as a good sign.
Talks are continuing over an extension so there’s hope that he will be convinced into signing a new deal and being the face of the Giovanni van Bronckhorst revolution at Ibrox.
The Dutchman will certainly have to play a key role in ensuring that he stays at the club and the finances also need to work in order for him to extend and for the club to afford to hand him a new deal.
How this ends, remains to be seen but even if he signs a new contract, it’s important that the club rope in at least two attackers before the window closes.
In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
