Rangers battle two English clubs for signing of West Ham United ace Emmanuel Longelo
Rangers are battling against Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth for the signing of West Ham defender Emmanuel Longelo, according to ExWHUemployee [June 13].
The Hammers defender is disappointed at the lack of first-team opportunities he’s had at the London Stadium and is ready to leave, with the club ready to accept an offer to let him go this summer.
According to transfer insider ExWHUemployee on his Patreon account, Rangers are among the interested parties and if they can match West Ham’s asking price then he will move to Ibrox ahead of the new season.

“Emmanuel Longelo, the full back that played in Europe for us, has got interest from Nottingham Forest, Rangers, Bournemouth and he’s set to leave,” he said.
“We were going to allow him to leave in January but Forest didn’t put the correct amount in for him. I believe if they do that in this window he will be moving to one of those clubs.”
Bassey Pt 2?
Calvin Bassey made the move to Scotland after struggling for first-team minutes in England and is now a key member of the defence under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
There’s a possibility that Longelo could do something similar, filling in a problem position at left-back and bringing a raw hunger and ability that the squad is lacking.

Billionaire-owned West Ham are known to drive a hard bargain in the negotiations, but it’s unlikely that this would be a hugely expensive deal considering his status in the first-team.
He only has one year left on his deal at the club too, which will lower his price too. The struggle will be convincing him to swap England’s money for Scotland, where the level is lower.
However the chance to win trophies and play more regularly will certainly appeal to him and there is a real chance that he could prove to be shrewd business once again.
