Personal terms agreed: Rangers sensation Rory Wilson will join Aston Villa on Just 1st – Fabrizio Romano
Aston Villa will officially complete the signing of Rangers sensation Rory Wilson on the 1st of July, according to Fabrizio Romano on Monday morning [13 June].
The reliable journalist has reported that the Premier League side have agreed personal terms with the Scottish wonder after he pushed for a move away from Ibrox.
It is suggested that Steven Gerrard was key in the decision of the young striker, with the former Bears boss helping bat away interest from other English sides.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Monday morning [13 June], Romano shared the major update that everyone had been waiting for at Ibrox.
“Aston Villa are set to sign talented Scottish striker Rory Wilson from Rangers, born in 2006,” he wrote. “Personal terms now agreed – Wilson will sign on July 1.
“Steven Gerrard, the main factor in beating off other interest. Wilson scored 49 goals at youth level this season.”
Expected.
Not that it makes this news any easier to hear, but this one was inevitable.
Wilson was in sensational form over the past year, and unfortunately, that attracts attention from south of the border where big money can be offered with ease.
Young players often get their heads turned, and despite the pathway being much clearer at Auchenhowie and Ibrox, it is clear that Villa and their billionaire owners have twisted his head.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson will no doubt be secretly gutted behind the scenes, but once a player has set their minds on leaving, sometimes it happens.
With only a development fee of around £300,000 expected, this one is going to leave a sour taste in our mouths, especially with him joining Gerrard at Villa.
Wilson may not have made his senior breakthrough yet, but he will leave a big gap and will no doubt need replacing in the academy, so that is where we could expect movement next.
In other Rangers news, this multi-million bid for one Bears player may have been made to unsettle him at Ibrox
