Former Rangers talent Malcolm Ebiowei close to Manchester United move
Rangers could have made a big blunder by not retaining the services of young attacker Malcolm Ebiowei.
They secured his services in 2020 after he impressed for five years at one of the most famed youth academies in Europe, Arsenal.
While the Gunners may not have the greatest of first teams, they’ve always managed to produce fine young players that have gone on to have solid careers.

When Ebiowei moved to Ibrox, there was some intrigue and excitement as many expected him to kick on and become a first-team player soon.
However, without making a single senior bow, he ended up leaving for Derby County and now finds himself on the radar of one of the biggest clubs in football in Manchester United.
According to Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace are also hotly contesting United in the race to secure the 18-year-old’s services.
He wrote, “Manchester United and Crystal Palace are leading the race to sign Derby County’s Malcolm Ebiowei, talented striker born in 2003.
“AS Monaco asked for him too but he’s expected to stay in Premier League – Man Utd and Palace are leading the race.”
Gers may go on to regret not doing enough to retain his services as he could go on to become a quality young player.
Given their issues in the final third, the upcoming pre season could have been the perfect opportunity to test if the Englishman could make the rise to the first team.
Hopefully, the hierarchy do not go on to regret this decision.
In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
