Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie urged to quit Ibrox by ex-Gers teammate Cammy Bell
The goalkeeper position at Rangers is one that will create much discussion over this transfer window with a big decision ahead for the club.
Contract negotiations between the Light Blues and 40-year-old number one Allan McGregor are yet to commence [Rangers Review] but there is a good relationship and willingness to sign should agreeable terms be reached.
Jon McLaughlin is the current backup but could be promoted if McGregor leaves although Robby McCrorie would battle for the starting place.

His former Rangers teammate Cammy Bell, though, has urged that McCrorie leaves the club for a new start elsewhere.
“I’d always encourage him to stay with Rangers but I understand that he needs to be playing to progress again,” Bell said to the Sun.
“Even if Allan stays or goes, then Robby has to go to the club and ask whether they still see him as a No 1 in the future.
“If they do then that’s great but he still has to be playing. He’s much better than being the No 3 at a huge club. It will be a tough conversation and a lot will depend on how Rangers see Robby’s future.
“Plenty of clubs would be keen to get him if his future isn’t at Ibrox. Robby was brilliant in the two massive games and he handled the occasion and showed his temperament.”
Time’s up
Everything Bell says above makes perfect sense and it would not be a surprise if the 24-year-old took this advice and he left the club this summer.

He is currently number three at Ibrox which means that even if McGregor leaves, he wouldn’t be thrust into the first team on a weekly basis.
Instead, he’d be playing the odd Scottish Cup game while mainly sitting on the bench, watching McLaughlin do the business between the sticks.
It would be best for his career to leave Ibrox as soon as possible so he can begin to forge his own path in football as a club’s best shot-stopper rather than a reserve for the Bears.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst should be looking to improve on the trio of keepers he has anyway because he will need to if he wants to properly challenge Celtic and reclaim our Scottish Premiership title in the 2022-23 campaign.
In other Rangers news, our B team have been accepted into the Lowland League but one potential change has sparked fury in League Two.
