Leon Balogun and Allan McGregor now under offer as Rangers rebuild set to be scrapped
Rangers players Allan McGregor and Leon Balogun are now “under offer” with new contracts on the table, according to Jordan Campbell.
The Athletic journalist has reported that the Bears are potentially scrapping a major rebuild and will instead only need a refresh in the summer transfer window.
McGregor and Balogun could join Steve Davis, Scott Arfield and Connor Goldson should they decide to also extend their current contracts in Glasgow.

Writing in his latest column for The Athletic, Campbell shared the latest state of play regarding those soon to be out of contract at Ibrox this summer.
“The decision to extend the contracts of Steven Davis and Scott Arfield by another year, with Leon Balogun and Allan McGregor also both under offer, means a rebuild now looks set to be a refresh,” he wrote.

Perfect.
Keeping this squad together is going to be critical moving into the 2022-23 season.
McGregor is currently more important than Balogun with the number of defenders we have, but having that depth in the squad will be perfect given how badly injuries have hit us recently.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be leaving these contracts to Ross Wilson, concentrating more on his transfer targets this summer, with Bosman deals said to be taking centre-stage again.
There isn’t an endless stream of money available despite our huge windfall picked up in the Europa League, with another summer of balancing the books likely at this stage.
The final-third, left-back and creative midfielders look to be on the wishlist, meaning that new contracts for McGregor and Balogun will help elsewhere.
With both players under offer, it shouldn’t be long until we hear the final decision of both, and positive news is surely expected given recent success.
In other Rangers news, this multi-million bid for one Bears player may have been made to unsettle him at Ibrox
