Done deal: Image shows Rangers have signed Lancelot Pollard from Aberdeen

Rangers have signed youngster Lancelot Pollard from Aberdeen with an image showing the 15-year-old signing his first contract at Ibrox.

Rising Ballers shared the image via their Instagram account on 30 May with the Gers reportedly beating “top clubs” in England and across Europe to sign the teenage sensation.

On 30 May, The Press and Journal reported that Manchester United and Liverpool were two of the clubs who were keen to sign him and that he’s signing a professional contract at Ibrox.

One for the future

It’s hard to judge what the future will hold for Pollard.

But one thing can be sure after seeing that image of him – his future is at Rangers.

It remains to be seen how long is on the youngster’s contract but with it being reported it’s a professional deal, it’s fair to assume that it’s going to be quite lengthy for a player of his age.

According to Rising Ballers, Pollard was playing for Aberdeen’s Under-18s this season despite being just 14-years-old.

He’s now 15, which is the age that Billy Gilmour started to attract the headlines when he was at Rangers.

Can Pollard be the next big thing to emerge in Scottish football?

If he keeps pushing hard, listening to his coaches at Auchenhowie and performing well in games – all while ignoring the media hype around him – we’re sure that he’ll do well for himself in his career.

Not every young player has Man United and Liverpool trying to sign him.

We’re sure that he realises that and is being steered in the right direction.

In other Rangers news, a journalist is thrilled with this “outstanding” business at Ibrox and has waxed lyrical about Ross Wilson.
