Rangers have no intention in Aaron Ramsey Ibrox loan extension
Aaron Ramsey will not be a Rangers player next season as the Light Blues don’t want to extend his loan for another year, according to Tutto Mercato.
The 31-year-old’s last kick of a ball for the Gers was his dreadful Europa League final penalty miss which cost Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side the trophy.
We don’t know how much that came into the decision not to extend his stay but Tutto Mercato do report that Juventus don’t want him either and could offer him a severance package to terminate his contract one year early.

The Welshman would be nothing more than a substitute for the Old Lady, as he was at Ibrox for much of his time here, and they are keen to not spend £400,000 per week on his wages for a further 12 months as he does little to help the team.
Stay away
This has nothing to do with his penalty miss or his struggles to stay away from injuries when he first arrived in Glasgow in a late January transfer move.
The simple fact of the matter is that he hasn’t played anywhere enough or made the impact expected of him to justify spending what would undoubtedly be a huge sum of money to keep him on a permanent basis.

It’s unlikely he’d ask for the genuinely absurd £400,000 he’s currently pocketing with the Serie A side but he will still be the highest-paid player in the entire country by a significant margin if he did join.
That would also massively impact van Bronckhorst’s ability to make further signings in key areas which are far more important than central midfield right now.
We’ve got John Lundstram and Joe Aribo to dominate the central third of the pitch and they’ve been brilliant in doing so which should be enough to prevent us from making this move.
In other Rangers news, Ibrox is getting a brand new development over the summer which will see the stadium capacity increase.
