Rangers made £35million through Europa League revenues – finance experts

Rangers reportedly made an additional £15million-£18million through gate receipts from the recently concluded Europa League campaign.

According to finance experts contacted by the 4th Official, they made around £35million from the Europa League.

This includes the £17million Swiss Ramble estimated them to have made from the TV revenue due to their exceptional run to the final.

Via the Twitter account, 4th Official wrote, “According to @SwissRamble, Rangers earned £17m (€19.3m) TV money for reaching the Europa League final.

“Independent experts estimate Rangers to have made between £15m-£18m in gate receipts. So add it all up and Rangers made around £35m from the Europa League.”

Good money

Financially, it’s been a great season for Rangers and one that they can be extremely proud of.

While they did not win the league or the Europa League, their coffers have gotten fuller and that will certainly benefit the club in the long run.

Celtic will have the additional Champions League revenue next season and Gers must not allow them to pull away in terms of building their squad.

Rangers have tried very hard to bridge the gap over the last decade and should not risk all of it slipping away.

Ross Wilson must quickly sort out the contractual situations of multiple players and then begin work on the recruitment side of things as it is a big job this summer for him at the club.

We back him to make the right calls for Gers to come back stronger next season to regain their title.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
