Rangers would consider Borna Barisic sale at right price

Rangers could reportedly cash in on left-back Borna Barisic this summer amid growing interest in his services.

According to Football Scotland, the Croatian wants to stay at the club but Gers could consider his sale if they receive the right offer for him.

They turned down bids worth around £2million from Watford in January, but Calvin Bassey’s rise has led to doubts over Barisic’s future at Govan.

Barisic even lost his place in the team during the turn of the year due to his poor run of form and his future at Ibrox appears to be in doubt.

Let him go?

At 29, Barisic does not look like he’s getting any better.

If anything, he has regressed massively over the last year, so much so that he’s even lost his place in the first team.

Rather than having him as a backup, Gers could look to cash in on him this summer and either promote someone from the academy or sign a younger player.

Clubs in England would still be willing to take a punt on him so it makes sense for the Rangers hierarchy to find alternatives for him.

As things stand, that’s not their course of action and it looks like they’re waiting for offers and then deciding whether or not it’s enough to cash in on him.

This is undoubtedly a big summer for the club and they’ve got to be right about these kinds of decisions.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
