BBC pundit tips Rangers to sign several players of ‘real quality’ in summer
Dick Advocaat has tipped Rangers to sign several players of “real quality” ahead of the summer transfer window.
The former Gers boss has gushed over Giovanni van Bronckhorst after he led his team to the Europa League final and lifted the Scottish Cup on Saturday [May 21].
In order to build on the momentum gained this season, the BBC pundit urged the Light Blues to add “two or three very, very good” players to the squad.

He told The Sunday Post: “It’s been quite a week for the football club.
“There is so much to be proud of and so much to build on.
“I have so much respect for Gio and his staff. They have been so good in the six months since they took over.
“He will be even better next season and so will Rangers. Gio won five trophies at Feyenoord and showed what an excellent coach he is. He can do the same, or even better, at Rangers. But the club must help him and bring in a few better players.
“The squad needs to be improved during the summer. They must be looking at two or three very, very good ones, players of real quality.”

Momentum.
It is crucial that Rangers build on the success they have enjoyed this season.
Make no mistake, it has been a brilliant season but van Bronckhorst will have his sights set on a lot more next year.
To have only one trophy to show for the amazing journey they have been on is a little bit disappointing but this year will undoubtedly go down in history.
The Light Blues did wonderfully in reaching the Europa League final and would have been gutted to have just missed out by the skin of their teeth against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Winning the Scottish Cup did soften that blow but the workload of both cup campaigns undoubtedly hindered the Gers in their pursuit of retaining the title as they lost out to Celtic.
The size of the squad was a big issue this season which is why the Ibrox outfit simply has to strengthen in the summer.
In other Rangers news, the german media has reacted to the Europa League final scenes, branding them a “scandal”.
