Alan Hutton predicts result of Rangers v Frankfurt Europa League final clash
Alan Hutton is expecting an open goal that is full of goals and is backing Rangers to be victorious in the Europa League final against Frankfurt.
The Bears head to Seville for their first European Cup final since 2008, where they were beaten by Zenit St Petersburg.
But after beating Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig already in this tournament, the former Rangers defender told Wettbasis that Giovanni van Bronckhorst must look to play forward and is predicting a 3-2 win for his old side.

“It’s an interesting question because Giovanni van Bronckhorst had to choose a more defensive tactic against Dortmund and Leipzig,” he said, when asked about how the team could approach the game.
“But in a final you have to make your own game and rely more on attack than in previous games. I expect an open game.
“Eintracht Frankfurt will also look for the way forward. It should be a good game with both teams aiming for the trophy.
“Eintracht has always scored goals in the competition. Just like Rangers, who have scored in every game in the Europa League.
“With Rangers, I always feel like they’re capable of putting the [ball] in the net. I hope that both teams play forward. You just have to try and that’s why I think it will be an open and interesting game.
“I still have to stay with the Rangers. I expect an open game Frankfurt – Rangers. That’s why I say Rangers will win 3-2. It’s going to be a great game.”

Crazy
Just being involved in the final is a huge day in the history of this great football club, but the fact many people truly believe Rangers can win it says a lot right now.
This is a team that were playing in the third division just nine years ago, and they’re now viewed by many as the favourites to lift the second most illustrious European trophy there is.
But Hutton is correct that the manager must play that way too, and not allow Frankfurt to dominate and dictate the game as they’re also a very good side.
They have great pace on the counter but they also have good technicians on the ball in midfield that can carve a team open, but have looked shaky defensively in several games this season also.
Rangers have the tools, the quality and the fans to really make a difference and get a ground-breaking result but it will not be easy and they must be at their best to secure it.
