‘On my mind’: Rangers star Aaron Ramsey reveals big regret ahead of Europa League final
Rangers midfielder Aaron Ramsey has revealed that he regrets missing a European final during his Arsenal playing days.
The veteran midfielder will be taking part for the Gers in the final of the Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville on Wednesday evening.
Ramsey was quoted in a report by Express where he revealed the pain of missing a big final during his playing days for the Gunners and also expressed optimism in making this opportunity count.

“To play in a final of a European competition, they don’t come around very often,” he said. “Unfortunately I missed the Arsenal one a few years back but hopefully now I can make up for it in this final. Yeah of course [the 2019 final plays on my mind].
“Obviously got to the final that year and lost to Chelsea but for me to miss it through injury was tough. But hopefully, now I get another opportunity at it and can make up for that.”

Big chance
Ramsey will be hoping to help the Rangers in claiming their maiden European title when they will go up against Eintracht Frankfurt in the final on Wednesday.
The Scottish club made it to the grand finale after getting the better of the German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig while playing at home despite trailing after the first leg.
The fans will be hoping to see the Gers keeping the momentum going in the all-important clash in Sevilla which would create history.
Ramsey’s future will also be a point of discussion after the match as he has stated that he has put the talks regarding his future on hold till the end of the season.
The 31-year-old is currently spending a season-long with the Scottish club after making a move from Italian Serie A outfit Juventus in the summer of 2021.
Since then, the former Arsenal player has represented Rangers in 12 matches across all competitions where he has scored twice and provided as many assists.
In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
