Aaron Ramsey shares major Rangers transfer update ahead of Seville

Aaron Ramsey has insisted that there are conversations to be had regarding his Rangers future ahead of the Europa League final.

The Wales international joined the Light Blues on loan in January and having been brought in for occasions like the clash against Eintracht Frankfurt – his focus is solely on football.

With his Ibrox future very much up in the air, the 31-year-old said a decision will be made at the end of the season.

Ramsey said as per Daily Record: “That’s to be decided at the end of the season, there is no update on that yet.

“I’m just looking forward to the final few weeks here and hopefully making it a very memorable experience for me.

“I’m sure there will be conversations to be had after the season is finished but right now I’m just focused on trying to win these two competitions with Rangers.”

Tough call.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has a hugely difficult decision on his hands in terms of whether to sign the Juventus man permanently or not.

The midfielder has shown glimpses of the player everyone knows he can be when he is at his best but nowhere near enough for the Gers.

Injuries and a lack of match fitness when arriving at the club have massively hindered his spell in Scotland but even when he has been fit he hasn’t played an awful lot.

It is no skin off the Bears’ back whilst the Old Lady continues to pay the bulk of Ramsey’s ridiculously high wages but the real concern will be whether he warrants such high fees when Rangers have to cover the bill without any help if they do sign him at the end of the season.

As the Welshman said himself though, that is very much on the backburner for now as the Light Blues prepare for one of the biggest games in their history on Wednesday [May 18].

In other Rangers news, Scott Wright has piled the pressure on Rangers’ “big player” to step up in Europa League final after taking his game to “another level” this season.
