Graeme Souness makes plea to travelling Rangers fans for Europa League final
Club legend Graeme Souness has asked the fans of Rangers to remember that they will be representing the Scottish outfit during their trip to Sevilla to watch the final of the UEFA Europa League.
The Gers will face German club Eintracht Frankfurt in the grand finale at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium on Wednesday.
Rangers published a video message of their former player on their Twitter account on Sunday where the 69-year-old, speaking from Goodison Park on 15 May, asked the fans to do their bit in supporting the players on this historic occasion.
“This is a message for everyone going to Seville,” said Souness. “Go there, have a super time. Support your team. Our team has done incredibly well in getting there. And you think the journey we’ve been on for the last ten years to be now planning a serious European Cup final. Fantastic achievement.
“They’ve done their bit. Now it’s your turn. You have to turn up there and behave yourselves. Have a party, but make sure you behave yourselves because you’re going there as an ambassador for our football club, our great football club, the great Glasgow Rangers.
“You must go there and behave. Otherwise, we got all the trashy headlines which would damage us for a long, long time. Please go there and behave yourselves. Have a super time.”

Historic occasion
The game is going to be a historic one for the Rangers as they are now within touching distance of securing their first major European title.
The Gers have made it to the last two at the expense of Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig where they made a grand comeback and secure an unlikely win in the second leg while playing at home.
Therefore, the management and the players will be doing their all to ensure that they will make their fans happy, in particular the travelling ones who will be there in the Spanish city in thousands to support the side.
But their route to the title will not going to be an easy one as they will be up against Eintracht Frankfurt who will be also chasing history.
The German club have not won a major European title in more than four decades and they’ve already knocked out favourites Barcelona in the last-eight clash, with outstanding performances both while playing at home and especially while playing at the Camp Nou.
In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
