Rangers partners Heart and Hand react to Alfredo Morelos Instagram image

Alfredo Morelos has been injured for some time but Rangers have defied his absence to reach the final of two competitions this season.

The Colombian international is expected to be out for the season but the 25-year-old posted a new image on his Instagram of him back in the gym, donned in Rangers gear.

It has sparked extreme excitement among Gers supporters who think he could even be back for the Europa League final on Wednesday (18 May) but that is a very unlikely scenario.

Club media partner Heart and Hand have also reacted to the images on their Twitter account saying, “Don’t do this to us,” with the big game just days away.

Kemar Roofe has filled in for the Colombian during his absence but even he has been injured at times which has left Giovanni van Bronckhorst having to play a false nine at times.

Rather not

We would all love to see Morelos play that Europa League final and fire us to glory as he has done on so many occasions during his time in Glasgow but we need to be cautious.

We will gain next to nothing by rushing him back for the trip to Seville because he will only pick up a further problem and be forced out for a much longer period of time.

If he is heading for the exit door at Ibrox, like many believe he could be with his contract coming to an end next summer, then he needs to remain fit so we can be able to sell him this summer for a substantial fee.

The Light Blues could get a club-record fee for the 25-year-old this summer after his amazing time in front of goal at Ibrox and they need to make the most of it, even if that means he doesn’t play for the club again.

In other Rangers news, we can have the last laugh over Celtic after what they did to Auchenhowie recently.
