Giovanni van Bronckhorst makes 10 changes, Adam Devine starts - Rangers starting XI v Hearts
Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for their final Scottish Premiership clash away at Hearts this afternoon [May 14].
With the league all but finished, the Light Blues will have one eye on Wednesday [May 18] when they face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final.
Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Giovanni van Bronckhorst made the huge decision to make ten changes with Alex Lowry the only player to remain in the team, and Adam Devine set to make his first start.
Make no mistake, Rangers will go out and give a good account of themselves as they look to finish the season with a win but the result of this game couldn’t matter less.
The Gers will have their sights firmly set on the huge task ahead of them as they face a Bundesliga outfit in the final who are unbeaten throughout their entire Europa League campaign.
It is imperative that nobody gets injured against Hearts – the Bears squad is already running very thin in key areas and van Bronckhorst simply can’t afford to lose any key players ahead of what will be an extremely tough game midweek.
Maintaining the high levels the Light Blues have shown all season is crucial in this game. The last thing they want to do is go into the final lethargically having taken their foot off the gas against Hearts.
This is why the boss should try and give as many of Wednesday’s starters some minutes on the pitch today.
Hopefully, the players can maintain their rhythm and come away from the game unscathed to end a rather forgettable league campaign.
In other Rangers news, van Bronckhorst has hinted at a last-minute new deal for a senior Rangers ace.
