Giovanni van Bronckhorst issues Kemar Roofe injury update ahead of Rangers v Eintracht Frankfurt Europa League final
Giovanni van Bronckhorst believes that Kemar Roofe is in line to feature for Rangers against Eintracht Frankfurt.
He claims that the club will be assessing him before the match and if he is deemed fit, then there’s a good chance that he features in the Europa League final.
The Dutchman believes that the attacker has got a few weeks to return to full fitness and that should be enough for him to play this game.
Speaking live on talkSPORT, he said, “Hopefully, he’ll be ready. He’s had an injury for so many weeks. We will assess him before the final and he’s had three weeks to get back. It’s a European final so we hope to have our strongest team available.”
This is precisely the update that Rangers fans needed.
Having Roofe leading the line would increase their chances of winning the game even before a ball is kicked.
Frankfurt would surely be hoping that the Jamaican does not play this game, but that seems unlikely to happen now.
This would even delight the Rangers supporters who are going to be travelling to Seville in numbers.
It gives the players also a boost, knowing that they’ve got most of their attacking players available and ready to win.
In big games like these, managers count on their big players and Roofe is certainly one of them who could win them the trophy within the glimpse of an eye.
