Alfredo Morelos posts picture in gym ahead of Rangers clash v Eintracht Frankfurt

Alfredo Morelos has posted a picture of himself in the Rangers gym ahead of the Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt next week.

The Colombian international was ruled out for the season after picking up an injury problem, but has teased fans with his latest social media activity.

Of course, this is likely just gym work and there will be no return to the grass at Auchenhowie as things stand, but it is still brilliant to see.

Sharing the image on his personal Instagram account via the stories, Morelos shared the picture that could send the Ibrox faithful into overdrive at this moment.

“Vamos,” it was simply captioned.

Imagine the scenes if Morelos just popped up in Seville.

We know that is never going to happen, but the Bufalo even teasing fans with this latest photo shows that he knows he is taking huge steps in his recovery.

After undergoing surgery, there were big fears that he may have played his final game for the club, but pictures such as this one make us believe that he still has a future in Glasgow.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be desperate to keep the likes of Morelos around beyond this season, and earning Champions League football would certainly help that.

Unfortunately, we have to do that without him leading the line, although this image has certainly given us hope.

This is a big step on a very long road, and we hope that we can lift the Europa League next week and Morelos will be on the pitch in his full kit to get his hands on that trophy and a taste of what he can achieve by sticking with the club.
