Ally McCoist makes Seville joke ahead of Rangers Europa League final
Ally McCoist admits that he would find any mode of transport possible to make it to the Europa League final to watch Rangers.
Gers are set to take on Eintracht Frankfurt later in May as they eye their first European honour in 50 years.
McCoist chuckled when Laura Woods told him that some fans were even willing to pay for a hot air balloon to get to Spain.
He said on talkSPORT, “To go see the Rangers? Oh yeah.
“If it’s to go see the Rangers, you’d just sit down and put your head phones on. I think it would be brilliant.
“I would go to the cliffs of Dover and put myself in one of those cannons at the circus and get fired across the channel to go see the Rangers in Seville.
“If there’s any circuses out there who want to sponsor me, I’m willing to do that.
“I’ll get in a cannon as long as they have a big massive net around about Calais for me to land. That would be marvellous.”
Rangers and Frankfurt seem to be evens going into this game and it’s hard to pick a clear favourite.
However, given this season’s performance and recent history, Gers are undoubtedly the bigger club.
Their fanbase is incredible and many games have been won because of the ecstatic Ibrox support.
While the final is not in Ibrox, the supporters can surely bring that atmosphere to Spain.
They’re going to be chanting for hours before kick-off and will party all night should their side successfully get over the line.
We cannot wait to see this incredible atmosphere and hopefully, Rangers get their hands on their first European title in 50 years.
