Alex Lowry and representatives set to keep close eye on Rangers game time next season

Alex Lowry and his representatives will reportedly keep a close eye on his Rangers game time next season.

According to Glasgow Times journalist Chris Jack, the 18-year-old will be looking to kick on from the debut campaign at Ibrox.

He is expecting to be more involved with the first team, having recently penned a new deal that keeps him at the club until 2025.

Fair enough

Lowry’s cameo against Dundee United was a glimpse of just how talented the Gers youngster is.

Many would have wondered what the hype surrounding the teenager was but after a few minutes would’ve known that the boy can play.

There were interested clubs, but the versatile playmaker decided that he’s best suited to develop at Ibrox.

The onus is on Giovanni van Bronckhorst to treat him like a first-team player and ensure that he progresses in the same manner as many expect him to.

We’re sure to see more of Lowry in pre season and possibly the initial few months of the 2022/23 campaign.

Hopefully, Lowry lives up to expectations and becomes a first-team regular in the coming months.

The side desperately needs a player like Lowry and who knows, he could be at Ibrox for the better part of the decade.

He’s already won over fans with his decision to stay at Rangers but now he must let his performances do all the talking.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
