Rangers legend Ally McCoist fumes over flight costs ahead of Europa League final

Ally McCoist has slammed the airlines for their ridiculously high prices for the Europa League final in Seville involving Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers.

He claims that the flight prices doubled after Gers made it into the final and has slammed it as a ‘disgrace’.

He’s also unimpressed with the cost of hotels as it’s made going to big football games that much more expensive.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said, “It’s a disgrace what the flight companies are doing.

“Right before the game I could get three flights from Gatwick to Faro for £140. Right after the game it was £360 for one.

“It’s so unfair. Hotels are £700 a night and all that. Mental.”

Airlines are just uncontrollably hiking prices at the expense of their consumers.

Fans know that it’s the best way to get to Seville so they will be compelled to buy tickets at a premium.

This will help the flight companies capitalise and make healthy profits while supporters may think twice before going for one of their club’s biggest games of the century.

It’s absolutely ridiculous and we’re glad that McCoist is discussing this issue live on air.

Hopefully, more and more people come out against the airlines in the coming days and put pressure on them and the hotels to stop taking their consumers for a ride.

This is a game no Rangers fan would want to miss just because of an unwarranted hike in ticket prices.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
