Kai Kennedy may get 'last chance' to prove worth at Rangers next season
Rangers attacker Kai Kennedy reportedly may get his ‘last chance’ to prove his worth at Ibrox under Giovanni van Bronckhorst next season.
According to Football Scotland, the 20-year-old is highly rated at Govan but there remains a feeling that this could be the final opportunity he has at the club.
The young attacker spent the first half of the current season on loan at Dunfermline before he moved to Hamilton in January.
Worth a punt
Kennedy is an exciting winger who can terrify defences on his day.
However, for him to prove his worth to Giovanni van Bronckhorst, he will have to do a lot more than be someone with tremendous potential.
The club have taken a punt on youngsters before and they could with the Scotsman, but he needs to play up to a certain level as well.
There’s going to be increased competition for places one way or the other next season and if Gers manage to qualify for the Champions League, then they can attract a higher calibre of player.
Van Bronckhorst will not write anyone off just as yet and will surely want to work with the likes of Kennedy in the pre-season campaign.
If he impresses there then there’s a very good chance we see him being involved in the first team more often next season.
The 20-year-old must use the off season to polish the finer things in his game and come back a more improved player in June.
