Ibrox View: Giovanni van Bronckhorst wields axe again - Predicted Rangers starting XI v Ross County

Rangers welcome Ross County to Ibrox on Wednesday evening [11 May] knowing that their Scottish Premiership season is all but over.

Celtic currently have a six-point lead with two games to play and a superior goal difference, making lifting the title yet again highly unlikely as things stand.

With two finals in the Europa League and Scottish Cup to come, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will continue to rotate his squad to keep things fresh with bigger goals in mind.

Allan McGregor will come back in goal, with the veteran staying sharp ahead of one of our biggest weeks in decades, replacing Jon McLaughlin.

James Tavernier and Connor Goldson are both simply undroppable, no matter of the games to come and both of those will keep their spots on the right side of the defence.

Leon King will also be given the nod again after impressing against Dundee United, with Leon Balogun suspended and Filip Helander injured. Calvin Bassey will replace Borna Barisic on the left.

Ryan Jack will hold in midfield, with John Lundstram alongside him as it is critical not to leave both out entirely to make sure they’re 100% sharp for Seville next week.

The big news of this starting XI will be Alex Lowry starting in that attacking midfield role, celebrating his new long-term contract at Ibrox with a start.

Amad Diallo will also come in, and will likely make his final appearance at Ibrox after coming on and finding the back of the net over the weekend.

Ryan Kent will start on the left after a well-earned rest, and no doubt he will want to terrorise the Ross County defence and get a couple of goals and assists to keep up his form.

Fashion Sakala will finish off the side and he will get another chance to prove himself as the central striker just in case Kemar Roofe doesn’t recover for the Europa League final.

Here’s how we expect the Bears to line up tomorrow…
