Rangers set for 'whopping cash bounty' if they beat Eintracht Frankfurt and win Europa League this season - report
Rangers are set for a “whopping cash bounty” if they beat Eintracht Frankfurt and win the Europa League this season.
The Daily Record has reported that the Bears could rake in over £50million from their European exploits this season.
Beating the Germans would take the Europa League income to over £20million, as well as £25million for direct Champions League qualification next season.
Adding in ticket and merchandise sales would take it to above £50million, in what would be a huge boost.
It would certainly make up for most likely losing the Scottish Premiership title to Celtic in the domestic season.
Either way, the Bears are going to be guaranteed group stage football in Europe again next season.
Winning this competition means Champions League football, whereas losing will keep them in the Europa League.
Winning this competition would be everything for the Bears.
It would be hilarious that even if we don’t win the Scottish Premiership, winning the Europa League would eventually bring more riches to Ibrox than Parkhead.
As well as winning the Europa League, you would then get the riches of the European Super Cup against either Liverpool or Real Madrid, as well as the Champions League.
That would send the cash income way beyond £50million, and hand Giovanni van Bronckhorst a real war chest for the transfer window.
Either way, it has been a phenomenal ride, but now we have booked our place in Seville, we have to go all out to bring that trophy home.
Raising the coefficient single-handily only to benefit Celtic would be a huge blow, so winning this game has to be the main priority of this season.
We believe in this squad, time to bring the trophy and all that money home.
