Rangers sensation Rory Wilson has been in London on Friday [06 May] to sign a new contract with Adidas.

The youth-level goal machine has been heavily linked with the exit door at Ibrox and has now added a blockbuster sponsorship deal to his name.

The Daily Star have already reported that Wilson has turned down a professional contract with Rangers, and has told them he wants to leave.

Writing on his personal Twitter account alongside pictures, Wilson shared the meeting after signing his new sponsorship deal.

“Delighted to sign a long-term contract with Adidas football in London today,” he wrote.

“Thanks to @william_hannah, @elliottf77, @peasomac9
and CAA Base for getting everything sorted.”

Big deal.

There is a lot of hype around the name of Wilson right now, and it is easy to see why given his record in front of goal.

Over 40 goals in one season is crazy at any level, and he continues to find the back of the net at youth level for Scotland too.

It is easy to see why the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are said to be interested, and it looks as though his head has been turned.

Hopefully, Ross Wilson can work his magic to keep the wonderkid around, but at this moment, it looks very doubtful.

This long-term Adidas deal appears to be the first of many he will be signing in his career, but we would be more than surprised if he was pictured signing a new deal at Ibrox.

All we can do for now is hope, and given our success on the European stage, why wouldn’t a young player want to taste success at his own club?
