Rangers wow BBC pundit Tom English after 'extraordinary' win v Leipzig
Rangers continue to defy the doubters in Europe as they turned a 1-0 deficit around to beat RB Leipzig 3-2 on aggregate and reach the Europa League final.
Captain James Tavernier got the party started at Ibrox before Glen Kamara doubled the Gers’ lead to have them in front and booking their tickets to Seville for the final.
Leipzig’s talisman Christopher Nkunku had other ideas though as he pulled one back to level the scores which would have seen the tie go to extra time but John Lundstram popped up with a goal nine minutes from time to send Glasgow wild.
BBC pundit Tom English was starry-eyed in admiration for the achievement Rangers had just pulled off on Thursday night (5 May) as he revelled in their glory on his personal Twitter account.
“Astonishing stuff by Rangers. A momentous night for them. What an extraordinary achievement. Class and composure and hearts of lions,” English said.

Reaching the Europa League final is a truly unbelievable achievement for a side that didn’t even top their group before the turn of the year.
When the Light Blues were drawn against Borussia Dortmund, who had just been knocked out of the Champions League by Ajax and Sporting Lisbon, for the playoff round, no one gave them a prayer.
But they shut everyone up by going to Dortmund and waltzing all over them in a stunning 4-2 win and they then held their own on Scottish soil a week later.
The home advantage then helped them over the line against Red Star Belgrade and Braga but nothing could compare to the noise booming around Ibrox as Lundstram struck.
That famous amphitheatre of sport may have never seen or heard anything like it before and for everyone in attendance for the match, they will never ever forget the moment Lundstram sent Rangers to Seville.
In other Rangers news, Ally McCoist could not speak highly enough of this Gers star who has become “invaluable” to the club.
