Jamie Carragher blown away by John Lundstram after Rangers smash RB Leipzig

Jamie Carragher was left completely stunned by Rangers star John Lundstram in the win over RB Leipzig on Thursday.

The midfielder scored the goal to send the Bears to the Europa League final in Seville, winning 3-2 on aggregate.

Carragher labelled Lundstram as “fantastic” not only for his goal but for his performance too in the heart of the side.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Lundstram was singled out for huge praise by Carragher after the scenes.

“Brilliant achievement for Rangers FC,” he wrote.

“John Lundstram with a fantastic goal and performance.”

Fantastic.

Not many have had a better few months than Lundstram.

We can’t believe there were actually people doubting his quality now, but we suppose that is easy to say now we are in this position.

The midfielder was given a new lease of life by Giovanni van Bronckhorst, and he has been repaid and more by the former Sheffield United man.

Now, he deserves all of the credit in the world, and we are backing him to put in yet another huge performance against another physical German side in Eintracht Frankfurt.

It is guaranteed that he will be starting in that midfield three, and a dominating display from him could set us on our way to the trophy.

We can forget about the Scottish Premiership now, imagine the scenes if we lift this huge trophy – it would be the biggest achievement in Glasgow in decades.

One step at a time.
