Rangers confirmed XI v RB Leipzig: Glen Kamara returns, 3 changes

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has named the 11 Rangers players he will be sending into battle for tonight’s Europa League semi-final second leg against RB Leipzig.

The Light Blues are a goal behind coming off the back of the first leg in Germany last week as Angelino’s super strike was the difference but there is every chance of a turnaround at Ibrox this evening.

After Sunday’s 1-1 draw in the Old Firm derby away at Celtic, the manager has made 3 changes to his starting setup with Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Scott Wright coming into the side in place of Scott Arfield, Steven Davis and Fashion Sakala.

RB Leipzig prepared for this game with a 3-1 defeat away at Borussia Monchengladbach despite fielding a near full-strength side at Borussia Park.

Whoever comes out victorious this evening, whether it be in 90 or 120 minutes or even penalties, will face either West Ham or Eintracht Frankfurt in the final in Seville.

Give it everything

The away side will be confident after their success in the first leg last week but the cauldron of Ibrox can make the best players crawl into their shells and that is what van Bronckhorst will be hoping for tonight.

Rangers have almost no choice but to try and go for an early goal and not let the Bundesliga side settle for a moment and begin to play their attractive best football.

One other thing the players and fans need to remember is that this lot are below Borussia Dortmund in the German top division.

We destroyed them in their own backyard earlier in the knockout rounds and they couldn’t find a way to beat us in Glasgow either so there is no reason to suggest that we are underdogs at all.

If you’re in attendance tonight, sing loud, sing proud and roar the boys onto victory and then get your party on because we’ll be off to Seville.

In other Rangers news, there is potential for us to play a whopping 29 games before the World Cup break next season.
