Kemar Roofe trains ahead of Rangers v RB Leipzig Europa League game

Rangers have been handed a major fitness boost ahead of their Europa League semi-final second leg clash against RB Leipzig.

According to the reliable Ibrox source The 4th Official that has been breaking numerous Gers-related stories, somebody at the club has informed that the attacker was in training on Wednesday.

Despite the footage posted by the club not showing him training, it’s understood that he was part of it.

Via Twitter, The 4th Official shared, “I can confirm that a source close to the club informed me that Kemar Roofe did train yesterday despite the footage put out by the club on social media.”

With Gers’ injury woes, they’re lacking somebody to spearhead their attack.

Plenty of options have been suggested which include playing Joe Aribo as a false nine as well.

While that would be industrious, for it to work, Gers will have to dominate possession and the players around Aribo will also have to make those underlapping runs at the right time.

Playing Roofe as the focal point would mean that everyone will play in positions they’re accustomed to.

For big games like these, it’s best to rely ont tried and trusted methods rather than experiment with something new.

We’re still unaware as to whether or not he’s good enough to play the full 90 minutes, but given his recent lay-off, anything above an hour will be considered a bonus.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
