Jim White and Simon Jordan clash over Rangers chances of beating RB Leipzig

Simon Jordan believes that Rangers may struggle in front of goal given their number of injuries ahead of the RB Leipzig clash.

Alfredo Morelos is obviously unavailable for the game while Kemar Roofe remains a doubt for this contest.

In order to progress, Gers will have to find the back of the net as they face a 1-0 deficit.

Speaking live on talkSPORT, Jordan said, “Rangers would have taken a 1-0 away from home to take it back to Ibrox. You worry about where goals are coming from with Morelos ruled out and Roofe doubtful.

“I worry for Rangers. The emphasis is now on you to make the play. Whether or not they’ve got the chops to do it done, remains to be seen. The bottom line is they’ve got to about something of their ability to score.”

Jim White then chimed in about how the Ibrox faithful will play a huge role.

He said, “This Ibrox atmosphere plays a big part. It could be an unlikely goal scorer for them.”

Get this done

The odds are stacked against Rangers in terms of the scoreline and the injuries.

However, what is in their favour is that they have 90 minutes or more of football under the lights in front of their home fans at Ibrox.

As we’ve seen in the past, the fans have played a huge role in being the 12th man for the team.

Even when the morale has been low in the dressing room, they have called on their supporters to help turn things around which is definitely what can happen.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst may have a few tricks up his sleeve for this game and we could see a change in the system.

Whether that means Joe Aribo playing as a false nine or even Ryan Kent leading the line, remains to be seen.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
