Chris Sutton stunned by Rangers after win v RB Leipzig, John Lundstram singled out

Chris Sutton has shared his instant reaction to Rangers beating RB Leipzig in the Europa League semi-finals this evening.

Going into the tie 1-0 down, the Bears won 3-1 at Ibrox to reach Seville where they will take on Eintracht Frankfurt.

Sutton picked out John Lundstram, the matchwinner for his efforts after the “phenomenal” performance in the second leg.

Writing on his personal Twitter account straight after the game, Sutton singled out Lundstram for his efforts.

“Some performance from Rangers,” he wrote.

“Well played, well deserved. Lundstram phenomenal.”

Wow, somebody pinch us.

How on earth has this happened? This group of players has gone down in history, but they continue to shock us with each week.

RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Red Star Belgrade and Braga – none of them had the answers this season, and they were blown away.

Lundstram was out of this world like many of his teammates, and it was fitting that he was the one to smash home the winner in the final moments.

That one was for Jimmy Bell, who will be smiling down on this achievement, and now we have to go and win it.

Getting into a major European competition is huge, and with Frankfurt to come, you would have to fancy the Bears.

Anything is possible, now let’s hope James Tavernier lifts that trophy in two weeks’ time over in Spain – what a night.
