Alex Rae savages 'Sloppy' Ryan Jack in Rangers showdown v RB Leipzig

Alex Rae has savaged Ryan Jack in the first half of Rangers showdown with RB Leipzig in the Europa League semi-final this evening.

The Scotland international was labelled “Sloppy” after giving the ball away in dangerous areas in the opening 10 minutes.

Stephen Craigan also picked out Allan McGregor for his dangerous use of the ball from the back to pick out his midfielders.

Speaking live on BT Sports coverage of the clash [05 May, 20:09] Rae was not impressed with what he saw.

“Little bit sloppy from Ryan Jack in the middle of the park,” he said.

“He gives the ball away.”

Better.

Jack was not impressed with himself, and he knew that he had to be better as soon as he misplaced that pass in the opening stages.

One thing the midfielder promises is that never say die attitude, and he made numerous huge challenges after that to prevent counter-attacks and shots on goal.

Jack is at the heart of everything defensively, and when going man for man at the back, it is critical that he continues cleaning up in this role.

McGregor certainly didn’t help in that one moment either, so he needs to use his experience to guide the side forward.

These sloppy moments went nothing when James Tavernier gave us the lead on the night and then Glen Kamara gave us the lead in the tie.

The roof at Ibrox was simply blown clean off, and this only pushes the lads forward, what a huge second half awaits.
