Aaron Ramsey desperately fighting to feature for Rangers v RB Leipzig after hamstring blow

Rangers star Aaron Ramsey is now “desperately” fighting to feature in the Europa League showdown with RB Leipzig, according to The Sun.

The newspaper have reported on their website that the Welshman is desperate to recover from his latest hamstring injury.

It is shared that the issue is not as bad as first feared, and Ramsey is eager to feature on Thursday evening at Ibrox.

This is massive news.

Given that it was a hamstring injury, though, Ramsey will likely start on the bench and come on if needed at Ibrox.

Kemar Roofe also looks set to win his race against time to feature, after being out for the same amount of time as the Welshman.

That hands Giovanni van Bronckhorst a huge boost in the final third with his options limited in recent weeks.

This is exactly what we want to see from Ramsey, who still clearly wants to prove himself at Ibrox during his loan spell.

Injuries have plagued the Welsh international throughout his career, and he will want to get rid of that tag over his head.

Playing a huge role in the Europa League to hopefully get past RB Leipzig and then doing the same in the Scottish Cup final against Hearts would certainly help.

With a permanent deal on the line this summer, Ramsey needs to play a part in these games to prove to the club it would be worth it.

There are big wages on the line here, and reaching the final of the Europa League and bringing home the Scottish Cup would certainly make it worthwhile.

Can Ramsey prove he has a long-term permanent future at Ibrox? Time will tell, starting on Thursday evening hopefully.
