Kevin Thomson gushes over Ryan Kent, predicts Rangers v RB Leipzig

Kevin Thomson believes that Rangers attacker Ryan Kent is “relentless” and can prove to be a real thorn for RB Leipzig.

He has waxed lyrical over his skill and aerial ability and stated that it’s fine for him to have the odd bad game.

Kent is believed to play a big role in the Europa League semi-final along with his teammate Joe Aribo as he expects Rangers to have more of the ball.

Thomson, a Sky Sports pundit, told the Scottish Sun, “You would expect Rangers to have more of the ball. I think he [Aribo] will have a vital role being the focal point of the attack and bringing Ryan Kent more into the game.

“He has so many great attributes — he is strong, great in the air, has terrific skill and an eye for goal.

“Of course, he has had the odd quiet game, which is understandable, but overall he has been pretty relentless.”

Win this one

Rangers will count on their fans at Ibrox to play a big part in shaping the outcome of this contest.

The home fans helped them over the line against Braga and will surely do the same for this game as well.

Leipzig surely start as favourites but Gers do not mind being the underdogs.

They’ve tended to perform better when the odds have been stacked against them.

Hopefully, the likes of Aribo and Kent put in their performances of the season and seal a berth in the finale.

It will be a truly special night at Ibrox and one the fans will cherish for their lifetime.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
