Jim White shares poignant reaction as Rangers make Jimmy Bell announcement

Jim White has evoked his sorrow after Rangers announced that their legendary kit man Jimmy Bell had passed away.

Bell was known to be a popular figure at Ibrox and got one extremely well with the players and staff.

Everyone who knew the man had only nice things to share about him.

Via their official Twitter handle, Rangers wrote, “Rangers Football Club are today devastated to announce the death of our much-loved, legendary kit man, Jimmy Bell.”

To which Jim White responded, “Extremely sad news this morning.”

Sad news

Bell is truly an Ibrox icon and he will be a great miss to the club and the world.

He has been at the club for three decades and was also a part of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s backroom team at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard also got on really well with him and famously called him “The Boss” during his time at the club.

He was an incredible kit man but an even better person and it’s no surprise that tributes are flowing in from everywhere for him.

There certainly will be something done to commemorate his death and it remains to be seen what that will be.

The club could hold a minute of silence or even make a mural in the stadium to pay their tributes.

Few have stuck on at clubs as long as Bell and his life truly needs to be celebrated.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
