Ally McCoist & Chris Sutton predict result of huge Rangers showdown v Celtic

Chris Sutton has backed Rangers to pick up a draw in the latest edition of the Old Firm against Celtic this afternoon.

It has been predicted to finish 1-1 in a result that would all-but-hand our rivals the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Ally McCoist has completely agreed and predicted the exact same result at Parkhead in the final derby of the season.

The predictions were made on BT Sports Scottish Football Extra in a fuelled episode as often this week.

McCoist admitted that Giovanni van Bronckhorst will already have one eye on the Europa League semi-final second leg with RB Leipzig later in the week.

Sutton could not believe that, but Celtic only have the league left to play for this season and look likely to win it.

Priorities.

Of course, we will all be looking ahead to the Leipzig game on Thursday, but you can’t overlook this Celtic game completely.

We may not get the title, but going to their backyard and winning the last Old Firm will be a huge confidence boost.

You cannot get over losing a Glasgow derby, even if it doesn’t mean too much, but taking the three points would be a perfect tonic for this week.

Not only would it keep the title race alive and potentially leave Celtic in poor form still needing results, but it would also see confidence skyrocket at Ibrox.

We thought the semi-final against Celtic and then Braga was a huge week, this appears to be even bigger now.

Let’s start it with a bang, forget a draw, let’s take all three points.
