RB Leipzig in 'I'm feeling it' dig at Rangers after Europa League first leg

RB Leipzig edged a tight Europa League first leg last night but Rangers are still very much in the tie after suffering a 1-0 defeat in Germany.

Former Manchester City left-back Angelino scored the game’s crucial goal with a sumptuous strike from range when there was only a few minutes left of the 90.

After the Spaniard’s match-winning goal, the Bundesliga side took to their English-speaking Twitter account to aim a very sly dig at their opponents.

“Alexa, play “I’m feeling it,” they wrote along with an image of Angelino celebrating his fantastic effort.

This was indirectly aimed at Rangers’ unofficial club anthem of the same name by Mark McCabe and the Sunset Bros and the German side’s tweet has since racked up nearly 10,000 likes.

It is extremely bold to put out such boisterous messages after only the first leg of a two-legged tie but even more so when you still have to go to Ibrox to finish the job.

It will certainly be a tweet that is bookmarked by the Light Blues’ media team and you can be almost guaranteed that it will appear once again should Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side turn the game around in Glasgow next week.

There was a lot to be satisfied with last night for van Bronckhorst and he will know full well the great position his side is in with home advantage to come in the return leg.

We saw against Braga how much a fast start can discombobulate an opponent at Ibrox and you would expect nothing less next week.

The same passion and the same noise again against the Germans might just be enough to help Rangers to a European final once again.

In other Rangers news, a row with the SPFL could cost the entirety of Scottish football a whopping seven-figure sum.
