Graham Spiers sends Twitter message after Rangers lose v RB Leipzig

Graham Spiers has insisted that it could get chaotic in the second leg between Rangers and RB Leipzig next week.

The German side will take a 1-0 lead to Ibrox in the Europa League semi-finals after a cracking strike from Angelino.

Spiers admitted the worry was that Leipzig have real potential to score in Glasgow that could take the game away from the Bears.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Spiers shared what he expects at Ibrox next week in the second leg.

“That late goal makes it a bit cruel for Rangers but losing 1-0 in the first-leg in Germany is still very acceptable,” he wrote.

“So much about Rangers tonight to admire. The worry must be: Leipzig have real potential to score at Ibrox next week. It could get chaotic.”

Chaos.

We would take that right now, as it could actually suit us more.

Leipzig are well used to dominating games and scoring goals, but are they used to that basketball style where it is consistently end-to-end?

That has happened in nearly every one of our Europa League games this season, and when Ibrox gets going, the Germans could crumble.

This was only the first test, and the Bears certainly passed with flying colours, but there is another game to come.

If this result was offered before the game, it could have been taken, but based on the game, a draw would have been fair.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has an Old Firm to deal with first, and if we can get the win away at Celtic, it sets us up perfectly for the return leg.

Everyone can admire at how resolute the Gers were this evening, and now it is time to show the other half of our game – bring it on.
