Glen Kamara to be axed in two changes - Rangers predicted starting XI v Celtic

Giovanni van Bronckhorst is predicted to make two changes to Rangers’ starting line-up ahead of their final Old Firm game of the season on Sunday.

The opposition heads to Parkhead knowing they need to win in order to keep up with Celtic in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.

And after the exertions of a Thursday clash away at RB Leipzig in the Europa League semi-finals, we expect van Bronckhorst to tweak his side.

As a result, Glen Kamara and Scott Wright could both be axed by van Bronckhorst so that Fashion Sakala and Scott Arfield can start.

Kamara’s form hasn’t been as good as that of the other midfield players while Sakala’s absence from the starting line-up in the defeat in Leipzig was telling as van Bronckhorst lacked a striker.

With Arfield, the Canadian has usually impressed when he’s played in big games – plus he scored against Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final – and 24-year-old Wright had a shocker against Leipzig.

Away from those two changes, we expect a familiar back-four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Calvin Bassey and Borna Barisic ahead of Allan McGregor in goals.

Leon Balogun is suspended and Filip Helander remains injured.

In the midfield, we predict Ryan Jack and John Lundstram to be joined by Arfield, whose future remains unresolved with his contract expiring next month.

Joe Aribo could start on the right wing with Ryan Kent on the left and Sakala spearheading the attack while Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe remain out with injuries.

In other Rangers news, BBC Scotland’s Tom English has dropped a big £200million claim ahead of the second leg against Leipzig.
