David Edgar shares what Rangers players & management have said about RB Leipzig showdown

David Edgar has shared that the Rangers squad and management have real confidence going into their second RB Leipzig showdown next week.

The Heart & Hand founder and official media partner of the club insisted that everyone in the side believes they will get the job done at Ibrox.

RB Leipzig will arrive in Glasgow with a slender one-goal lead after that late Angelino volley over in Germany.

Writing on the official Twitter account of the Heart & Hand Podcast, Edgar shared what he has been told.

“Speaking to Rangers players and management, it’s striking how much they believe they will get the job done at Ibrox,” he wrote.

“It doesn’t really matter if anyone else believes, because they do.”

Confidence.

Is this the big scary beast that everyone was warning us of?

Leipzig weren’t exactly out of this world despite everyone singling out the cracking records of the likes of Cristopher Nkunku.

Rangers frustrated the Germans for 90% of the game, and it took one wonder strike to give the home side the win.

Apart from Nkunku’s open goal miss, the best chance fell to Ryan Kent after he swept a shot wide – this is big given how little possession we had at times.

That is going to be different at Ibrox with the crowd behind us and a nothing to lose attitude that Leipzig may struggle to deal with.

An early goal would change everything, and we have already seen how many clubs have come to Glasgow and failed.

Full of confidence, we hope that can drive us to yet another major European final – imagine the scenes should that happen.
